coke and ribena, which is which?
Saturday, March 31, 2007

LOL
something FUNNY happened YTD.
omg-.-

my mom got mixed up between coke and ribena..

my dad asked the repairman to come over to our place ytd to fix the television.
then my mom wanted to pour them ribena, so she asked me

mom: eh the ribena must add water?

me: of course la

mom: but i added alot and almost like tasteless, isit must add alot?

me: (oblivious to the fact that the RIBENA SYRUP is actually COKE in disguise) ya then nice.

and so my mom went to add the 'ribena', with water and ice.
to make matters worse, the coke is already so non-carbonated.
so u imagine..

NON-CARBONATED COKE PLUS ICE PLUS WATER = ....

and so this morning i wanted to drink ribena.
i unscrewed the cap on the ribena bottle, and
i smelt the contents, it soo doesnt smell like one..
nvm. i pour.
then something brownish, typically coke/pepsi that kind of colour flowed out.
-____-
and the viscosity of the typical syrup wasnt there...
so my mom went to taste it.
she said "wah like got gas one hor"
and i tasted it.

ITS COKE IN A RIBENA BOTTLE.

"ITS COKE LOR" i told my mom

and then she started to say my that my dad added the coke inside and blah and whats not.
maybe it wasnt his fault but hes always doing this kinda things at home so.. the obvious suspect is him.

hahahahha
then she begin to say about what happened yesterday
letting the repairman drink DILUTED NON CARBONATED COKE WITH ICE.

"wah then the repairman must think that i'm very ngiao hor, coke only must add water and ice"

hahahhahahaha

WHATS THE MORAL OF THE STORY?

never put coke and ribena together.

rain.. rain.. go away.. come again... another day..

6.5 million people T.T
there goes private spaces.
there goes breathing space.
there goes the public transport, it will crumble under the weight of 6.5 million people, ceteri peribus.
there goes housing.
there goes basic medical needs.
WAITING TIME AT THE POLYCLINICS TOP 6HOURS!
- local newspaper, year 2020.
why am i not surprised.

of course, the above-mentioned headline is fictitious.
by 2020, i will be 33.
omg.
thats like so old.
old as in the biological clock part, but the mental part.

the current 20s are like teens.
the current 30s are like 20s.
the current 40s are like 30s.
the current 50s are like 40s.
the current 60s are like 50s.

thank god for the exponential increase in human longevity.
i want to live more to continue wasting earth's resources.

and so, just to deviate from my pointless post above, i am so not looking forward to NS.
its 2 years.
and i cannot wait to start working full time >.<
i want to be a working adult because of a very, extremely obvious reason!
YOU GET A SALARY.
and benefits.

oh and on today's straits times, they talked about jobs jobs jobs.
they talked about talent.
they featured a lady, apparently so coveted by Barclays that they are willing to pay a 6 digit figure just to buy her out of a PSC scholarship.
and the journalist goes something like "this is an example of the aggressive recruitment of top talent".
something along that line.
and so i was thinking.
how do you define talent?
is it because he or she has stellar academic grades?

i begin to wonder, are humans made differently from each other?
as the chinese saying goes, 同人不同命.
which means 'same human, but different life'.
a very blunt and direct translation.
even though we may have the same genetic blueprint, why those with qualifications trump others who may not have the same credentials then them?

lol. the bad part of meritocracy.
doesnt it make you wonder why some people have to settle for less than 800 a month, feeding a family, while others can thousands of disposable monthly income to splurge on themselves?

i dont know if it makes you wonder, but i certainly do wonder.

of course the environment, the finance circumstances in each human is different.
so, i guess that may play a part too.
so i would think, education pwns non-educated people.
skilled people pwns unskilled people.

go think.

so now schools over.
results out tomorrow.

i feel like writing a long philosophical post about things.
but the thing is that, i'm not in the mood to write about such things.
even if i were in the mood, ill be out of topics to philosophically dissect the issues
into bite-sized points to meaningfully discuss it.

i need more anime and more dramas to keep those holiday blues away..

wahahhaha.. FNB.. begone..
Thursday, March 01, 2007

okay.
i sent an sms to my boss, telling him i'm not working with immediate effect, and that i apologised for the inconveniences caused.
bah.
i feel so relieved.
its like a dam of sian-ed emotion,
gushing out of me at the speed of light.
i feel LIBERATED FROM .. that place.

4:54 PM | Back to top

arghh...
work isnt so fun.
especially as a server in the FNB line.
and at a certain FNB outlet, at a certain FNB place.
with certain bosses, with certain colleagues, and with certain customers,
and with certain table numbers.
just felt so damn funny.
im gona quit.
gona tell him i'm not suited for this job later at 6pm.
and that he'll be better off finding another person.
blah.
thought of working there now makes me wanna die zzz
